Greek Olympic Team for Sochi with 1 biathlete!

Greek Olympic Committee has announced the team which will participate in Sochi’s Olympics. They are 7 athletes : 3 in alpine ski, 1 in cross country, 1 in biathlon, 1 in ski jumping and 1 in skeleton.

In biathlon Apostolos Angelis, born in 1993, will participate for the first time in Olympic Games. His best result so far : 53rd in 15km individual during World Junior Championships last season at Obertilliach.

Also Panagiota Tsakiris who will race in cross country is also a biathlete but didn’t qualify for Biathlon races in Sochi. Panagiota , born in 1990, she was in Vancouver’s Olympics also. She had finished 85th in 20km individual and 83rd in 7,5km sprint. Her best result – 36th in sprint in Junior World Champs at Canmore (CAN) in 2009!

Panagiota will be Greek flag bearer!
